Nerve Blocks & Procedures

Office-based procedures for selected headache diagnoses—used to break cycles, reduce severity, and support a broader treatment plan when appropriate.

What are nerve blocks?

Nerve blocks use targeted anesthetic (and sometimes additional medication) around specific nerves involved in headache pain pathways. They are not the right tool for every person, but for selected diagnoses they can provide meaningful relief and help reset a flare.

When they may help
Severe flares, persistent daily headache cycles, occipital or cervicogenic contributions, and selected migraine patterns—after diagnosis and safety review.
How we use them
As part of a complete plan that includes rescue strategy, prevention, and lifestyle threshold factors—so you’re not relying on procedures alone.

Coverage and self-pay

Coverage can vary by plan and indication. If you’re out of network or coverage is inconsistent, we can discuss self-pay options when appropriate. We also provide superbills for out-of-network benefits when applicable.

We avoid overpromising: results vary, and we only recommend procedures when they match the diagnosis and your goals.

Wondering if a procedure fits your case?
